Twitter's Fail Whale is a T-shirt

The ever popular design, Twitter’s Fail Whale, by Yiying Lu that you kindly see when Twitter’s servers are overloaded is now a T-shirt! That’s right, you can wear this sensational design to increase your inner geek. You know you want it, everybody’s on Twitter so why not let everyone know just how serious a Twitter user you really are.

Help Convince Microsoft to Support Web Standards!

Enough is enough! It's time to fix Outlook and we need your help.

Microsoft have just confirmed they plan on using the crippled Word rendering engine to display HTML emails in Outlook 2010.

This means for the next 5 years your email designs will need tables for layout, have no support for CSS like float and position and no background images. Not to mention the long list of bugs and quirks that break the simplest of layouts.

Outlook 2010 is still in beta and Microsoft have confirmed they want to hear your feedback on this decision. It’s time for the email marketing and design community to rally together and encourage Microsoft to embrace web standards before it’s too late.

What’s the best way to do that?Twitter of course.

Visit fixoutlook.org to see how you can help and what the community is saying right now.

My Digital Drawing of a Twitter Bird

I’ve been participating in MacHeist 3 this year (more about MacHeist). On completion of the latest mission you gained access to a copy of Scribbles by software developer, atebits. Atebits is also responsible for bringing the best Twitter app to the iPhone/iPod Touch, Tweetie, which I use and you should too.

I’ve made a promise recently to myself to start drawing more by doing a drawing a day. Now I haven’t kept myself to that but I do the best I can with the time I have. So I decided to test run Scribbles by creating my very own Twitter bird to enhance my little Twitter update in the sidebar of my Web site.

Scribbles is, in a word, AWESOME! It couldn’t be simpler to use. It very responsive and gets out of your way to allow you to focus on your art. It has an infinite canvas so you need not worry about page size. It has very well crafted brushes and the color picker is awesome.

Scribbles reminds me a lot of Brushes for the iPhone/iPod Touch which I’m also a user of that too. I highly recommend Scribbles. If you check it out please let me know what you think of it in the comments.
